Lesson Plan
Unit Title: Life lessons
Unit time period: March 2020 until the objective is reached.
Objective: Students will learn at least 5 of the following 10 life lessons:
Tomorrow is truly not promised.
Time is not money; time is time.
Humans crave human touch and human interaction. Talking to someone on a screen is not the same as talking in person, but at least it’s a way to connect.
Tell your loved ones you love them today; you might not have another chance.
You really can learn to use new technology, as long as you have access.
If you’re breathing, you’re still alive. If you’re still alive, you can still have hope.
If you’re angry at someone, be the one to extend the olive branch today. It might be your last chance.
Educate yourself and make your own decisions.
There is tremendous inequity in access to technology in the United States.
Access to quality healthcare in the United States is determined by the color of your skin, the neighborhood in which you live and/or your economic status.
Methods:
1)Pervasive infection, illness and isolation, followed by widespread death, grief and terror.
Assessment:
Individual mastery will be demonstrated by prioritizing time devoted to health, family, community improvement, volunteerism and spirituality. It may also include actively seeking to achieve items on one’s “Bucket List”.
Societal mastery will be demonstrated by equitable access to quality healthcare and efficient technology throughout the nation.
