Mostly it's just quiet

Mostly i don't mind

living alone

Except those times

Dead arm bone

After the vaccine

And i can't get my shirt off

Oh, if anyone were here

It'd be funny

Also those times

Smashed lightbulb times

Barefoot in the corner

And if anyone were here

It'd be so silly

But instead i just step gingerly.

Witnesses

We do have friends, we just don't know how to act,
I have cough syrup ready to go for you, lad, and
I must hope that's as bad as it'll get for you, but,
and I must say, we don't know how to act and we
don't know how to keep the wrong variant out, but
we do have friends, we just don't know when we
should let them in, but you could do with some
other faces and you could do with your parents
mirrored in someone other than you and themselves,
I mean each other, and lad, it's such a joy to see
someone mirroring you and what is, for now,
your own gentle, irritated way.
